The Dealer of the Month is the Furniture Queen, Robin De Koning! We love the unique spin she puts on her pieces! Read below to learn about her style and how she brings her passion to life.
How did you get started in the world of antiquing?
About 25 years ago, when my son was born, I quit my job in the corporate world and decided to try my hand in the crafting world. I started out doing home boutiques and quickly jumped on the shabby chic train! I painted furniture, frames and home and garden treasures.

Who else is on your team?
In the beginning, while I was selling at flea markets and antique malls, I was teaming up with other vintage loving ladies in the business. However, about 11 years ago, I decided to stick to only flea markets and my husband, Steve, joined forces with me. He has kept his day job, but it is a whole new game doing this together.
How would you describe your style?
My style has been all over the place! From country, to shabby chic, to eclectic. Now, I have settled into what I call “chic coastal.” When out hunting treasures, I always seem to be most attracted to everything vintage coastal! My husband finds all of our “weird” stuff but hey, it seems to fly off the shelves!

What else do you offer in addition to furniture? I have expanded this year and started making soy candles along with mud cloth, indigo and vintage linen and rug pillows. It has been a hit and I am excited to continue to expand my ideas and see where this road takes us!
Make sure to catch the Furniture Queen at our spring show on May 2nd and 3rd at the Paso Robles Event Center!
